The Camelford traders have been warned the may face court againCornwall's so-called 'metric martyrs' are still trading in pounds and ounces, six month after losing their appeal in the European court.

Neil Herron states, "However, under the Local Authority Enforcement Concordat, Cornwall County Council have a duty of, "fair and equitable prosecution." This means that to pursue John and Julian before doing EVERY other offender, including leading supermarkets who continue to flout the Metrication Regulations and 1999 Price Marking Orders would be 'vexatious' and could be seen as harassment."

A spokesman from trading standards says it is waiting for a response to letter sent to the two traders, telling them to comply with the law.
Neil Herron states, "I think that they will now have a clear indication of the traders intent."
It says if traders are aware of people selling goods in imperial measures only, they should inform the authorities.
"So now John and Julian have to 'grass up' other traders for Trading Standards?"
