BBC's Jeremy Vine Show drops Parking Ticket story

Tuesday 15th February
Parking Ticket challenge

Robin De Crittenden's story which was covered in this week's 'Christopher Booker's Notebook' in the Sunday Telegraph (read it here) attracted excitement from the BBC's lunchtime Jeremy Vine Show. In a call to the office yesterday, researcher Philip McCreery was fascinated with the story and wanted more background. He remarked that this could be opening a massive can of worms. He was given Robin's number to be able to put some more background together.
When Robin called in the afternoon he too remarked that the BBC were keen to run the story and had booked him into the BBC Birmingham studio for a half hour slot. He would be up against London Assembly Member, Conservative Brian Coleman in the broadcast which was to go out at 12.45pm until 1.15pm.
However, Robin called the office this morning to say that the BBC had cancelled because of 'other matters.'
I will let you draw your own conclusions. Unfortunately, the lid cannot go back on the can of worms whether the BBC chooses to ignore it or not.
