S & B Parking 'removed' from parking contract

Parking Appeals had received a number of complaints about this firm operating on private land ... Lomeshaye Business Village Estate, Nelson, and their tactics.

Permit holders and other motorists had been receiving tickets through the post and the firm had been using CCTV to 'harvest' registration numbers from cars allegedly committing contraventions after the firm obtained keeper details from the DVLA

We reported that Matthew Brough of S& B had previously claimed victory here and the firm were now instructing bailiffs to pursue all the other motorists.
It now emerges, and was reported in the Burnley Citizen, who on September 6 reported comments by the owner of S&B Parking who said he had been to county court and won "three test cases" in a "court battle" to try to enforce payment of his firm's "fines."

But it is believed the judgements were issued without individuals involved being able to challenge them in court.
As a result the business park bosses have terminated the contract with S & B car parking company because of these accusations of issuing 'extortionate' tickets. More ...
The moral of the story is ... if you feel that a parking company's actions are unlawful or at best questionable then stand up and challenge them.
Parking Appeals will provide all the assistance you need to challenge tickets issued on private land.
