Colin Moran thinks migrant workers will be paid less
On Tuesday: Tens of thousands of people could come to Britain looking for a better life after May the first. Or at least that's the fear of those who oppose EU enlargement.
But is economic need enough to justify enlargement? Colin Moran is a car dealer from Sunderland.
He warns it'll lead to a two-tier nation and says Eastern European workers will be paid less than British people to do the same job.

Already happening. Many of the remaining UK seafarers on UK flag ships have been replaced by Latvians, Poles, Lithuanians, Estonians since last May.

As they are EU nationals they can sail on UK flag ships with no problems, aided & abetted by the MCA (Marine & Coastguard Agency) who hand out UK Certificates of Equivalent Competency to such people on the basis of their national certification, which is in many cases well below UK standards. One can only think that this comes from instructions by John Prescott in his quest to 'Save the Red Ensign'.

Well, he might have done that, but there are no jobs for UK seafarers on UK ships.
