Perhaps the Electoral Commission forgot to read this.

Just had this useful bit of evidence forwarded on to me.

On Page 4 of the Research Paper 04 / 57 'Referendums on Regional Assemblies' (House of Commons Library) it states...

• "For 28 days before the postal ballot forms are sent out, no Government campaigns
on the referendum issues can take place. This is the ‘relevant period’ under
PPERA."

I am sure that a list will be produced of every single breach by the relevant Ministers. If anyone wishes to start sending them to me please do so at mail@northeastnocampaign.co.uk Can include press comments / cuttings and dates of statements made on TV broadcasts. Remember that they CAN speak as Labour Party members but not as Ministers. We are currently checking travel and policing expenditure for the Ministerial visits to the region. Until we find out otherwise, we are to assume that the Labour Party covered all these costs...stop laughing!
