CALL centre staff are being forced to pay two weeks wages to remove clamps on their cars because there are only 400 parking spaces for 1,800 workers. Full story here

She added that Barclays actively encouraged car-sharing and environmentally friendly transportation, such as cycling.

Timing couldn't have been better, with the fantastic cycling weather we have in this region, especially today the day this article was published with lashing rain and howling winds (not uncommon to my memory and contrary to government spin not a result of climate change just good weather northern England style).

You'll notice i'm sure, that most council offices have copius amounts of parking and those that do not, reserve parking spaces that are near to Council offices.

A slight case of hypocritism.

I'm just surprised that Sunderland council have missed such a golden opportunity to reduce the amount of cars on the roads, and recommend moving the Call Centre to India!

I would think that this is the ideal opportunity to buy a 50 quid car, and let them keep it when they tow it away!
