Lib Dems Alan Beith MP on the Real Reasons for NE going it alone

Lib Dem MP Speaks out
In a reply to a concern raised by a constituent, on the reasons for Labour postponing two of the three Elected Assembly referendums, Lib Dem MP Alan Beith states, " I suspect it is because they feared that the Assembly proposal might be lost in the other two regions, but that in the North East there would be strong objections to people being denied their say on the issue."
