Blair squirms uncomfortably ... "You dropped me in it Darling"

Covered here in the Metro newspaper ... the Prime Minister was rather uncomfortable when he had to support Alistair Darling's statement that there was no intention to metricate the country's roadsigns.

The Prime Minister looked flustered before telling his questioner: 'I suppose they told you that before you came in here.'
It was doubly embarrassing for the Labour leader coming after a call by his predecessor Lord Kinnock for Britain's road signs to go metric within five years.
The peer was backing a report by the UK Metric Association (UKMA).
